I'm 32 and I WAS going back to college (until WHitler and the lib administration of both colleges forced all classes online) and it was shocking to me the differences between college in 2006-2007 and college now. Nobody learns HOW to think, just WHAT to think.
Students are not taught personal responsibility. My sociology class taught that if a woman goes to get botox done, it's the fault of society because they pressured her to do so. My history class openly promoted socialism and focused on oppression of non-whites. My "American Culture" class said American culture is literally nothing but oppression of non-whites as well. The propaganda that is pushed is sickening. It's a COMPETITION between the students to see who can be more anti-America. The more a student plays the victim card, the more they're rewarded by faculty too.
Texas was one place I was looking at moving to originally when this all obviously wasn't going away. I had gotten desperate for a while and researched different states and universities. That's when I found out exactly HOW MANY of those places are run not just by libs, but the virtue signaling asshole libs. They all had mask rules, distancing requirements, hybrid classes, and all that.
I was hoping all the stereotypes of Texas were founded at least in part by some fact. I found that the good parts of the stereotypes are mostly the rural areas. I looked up universities with the best econ programs in Texas and I only wound up with lib shitholes that released mask requirement email announcements talking about how important it is to protect everyone else. One was in Austin, so that one wasn't much of a shock.
Do you happen to know if ANY of the schools in Texas have regained sanity? Or are they all too far gone? I was looking at getting my doctorates degree in economics before all this started, so I can't just self-teach or "homeschool" the undergrad degree if I understand the system right.
If you're anticipating the university environment either being, or getting back to, normal before next year in anywhere other than North Dakota and Wyoming, you're going to be disappointed. However, Texas A&M is very based; Texas Tech is, too. Both offer a PhD.
And of the state schools, Sam Houston State University's Econ dept. is very sane and affordable, but it only offers a Master's. The towns hosting each of these universities (Bryan-College Station, Lubbock and Huntsville, respectively) are very conservative, and have no interest in leftist drama.
There's also U. of Houston (PhD, public), Rice Univ. (PhD, private) but they're in Houston which is blue, but not drama-prone.

Looking at the suicide numbers in my state, I'm going to have to say that a significant amount of us are NOT happy with what's being done to us.
