I want a set of crusader armor. Shits expensive though for the real plated metal gauntlets, grieves, helmet, shield, sword, plated boots, the under armor chain mail, and the chain mail that goes under your helmet. But man, would that be cool AF to have and wear around. I would drive around in it and go into stores. They DID say wear PPE right? Doesn't get any safer than a holy crusader's armor!
I found some on a website that was hand crafted. It looked amazing. It comes from Poland? Hungary? Somewhere like that over In Europe. You can buy each piece. The quality was top notch too ( seemed so at least ).
I didn't do a price count because to get the whole outfit is alotta pieces. But I'm sure it would definitely be more. As I said, it was ALL hand crafted ( at least that's what the site said ). If I remember correctly, the damn long sword was about $1k itself. But it was a vision of beauty. A true masterpiece. Real steel. Not a costume or plastic. I would LOVE to have a set.
Edit: now I'm going to have to go back and find it again and do a price count. Wanna see just how much it would be.
For sure. And they had the armor back when it was a common trade and had skilled Craftsman that had the know-how to make the armor sturdy and yet maneuverable. A lost trade for sure. Though I guess not many people have uses for steel armor anymore.

Vikings kicked their ass on the regular. Grew up for war, not much different than Spartans. A classic case of speed beats power, accuracy beats strength. You do need a weapon capable of destroying the armour though ...
Real handmade armor linked in thread! Made in EU though. You can get titanium gloves 2 mm thick. The little round shield (buckler?) would be great for blocking bricks and better than brass knuckles, too. They do have mail but I didn't see a piece that goes over your head and stops below neck and shoulders. You can custom order anything.

I found some, but it looks to all be costume LARP stuff. Even just the gauntlets and mail would be great; add gas mask and helmet with plate.

Yea, to get the good stuff would probably cost a right pretty penny. An AR with optics and a foregrip should fill in nicely for a long sword though!
