It's 100% a political stunt to pander to the Dem base. Most Dem voters have never passed a US civics class. They have no idea how our government works. Like if Trump is not fit for office Pence is president. So fucking stupid. Pence is legit Right Wing God Squad and would be a nightmare to the Dems. Also he is 100% loyal to GEOTUS.

People don't understand tax law; loss carryforwards. You expect them to understand basic civics?

Honestly I am surprised if they manage to not run into walls or tip over randomly.

Even I don't understand Tax law..... But I pay accountants to understand them for me LOL

Destineed369 7 points ago +7 / -0

Its not meant to be understood by any one person.

Bingo. Remember how many of this fucknuggets thought once trump was peachminted he was going to be escorted out of the WH? 🤣🤣🤣

The left thinks trump is a dictator because they think a president has all the power.

"3 branches of gubment? Wuz dat?"

6
ThunderSizzle 6 points ago +6 / -0

Which is funny, because Trump follows federalism more than the previous presidents did too.

Dictators would force the states to follow his agenda, not stand by while they burn because they have a governor that wants it to burn.

3
Overkillengine 3 points ago +3 / -0

They were counting on him to rush in so they could both call him a dictator and blame him for the mess they were deliberately making.

6
Quietam_Unum 6 points ago +6 / -0

They have no idea how our government works

Remember AOC on the three branches if government? Executive, the house, and the senate.

That from a sitting "representative."

edit: clarify

Will this not put her vulnerable house races in a bad spot? I just don't get it.

You're absolutely correct, but the reality of this stunt is simple. Pelosi is just trying to sling more mud in a desperate attempt to try and damage Trump's image. It's an election year, but one with Trump so the Democrat's TDS-fueled response has been amplified x100. Pelosi (and the rest of the left) STILL don't understand that Trump got as dirty as he will ever be... 4 years ago. It DOESN'T WORK on him. He's unlike traditional politicians -- he ENJOYS the fight. He welcomes attacks, they make him more immune in the long run.

On the other side (ours), McCarthy's alleged attempt to remove Pelosi as Speaker is also just mud-slinging.

Both situations are just virtue signaling and mud-slinging. Neither side has the votes to do shit and they both know this.

which also explains why the left keeps on lying about lies that we know they're lying liars about. like "the very fine people" hoax. heels-up managed to shove 7-8 brazen lies into one of her two-minute segments, including the charlottesville one; she was not corrected by the moderator and pence was cut off/had to talk over her and the mod in self-defense.

The Framers put things like this in the Constitution to make major major changes in power real fucking hard if not impossible to do for these types of partisan political grandstanding events.

Even for how much rot is in the walls in Washington, The Framers had a ton of multilevel stopgaps.

7
davidmode 7 points ago +7 / -0

Its amazing when you think about it... Powdered wig wearing motherfuckers 240+ years ago knew: "hey... Govt sucks and its always going to suck, but we need it, so lets clip its wings and chain it to the wall"

2
RidingTheCaboose 2 points ago +2 / -0

The Framers were not specific enough which is why we have the 25th Amendment. The 25th Amendment was adopted in 1967.

The original terminology in the constitution is “In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the Same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President, declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected.”

25th was written to clarify ambiguity on whether the VP actually becomes the President when the President dies, or remains the VP with the granted powers of the President. Before this we had periods of time where there was not a VP after succession.

Andrew Johnson took over as President after Lincoln was assassinated and we had no VP for nearly 4 years. Then... Johnson was impeached! He wasn’t successfully removed, but if he had been then the Senate President pro tempore would have become President.

Since both the original wording and the 25th are worded with “inability to perform” the duties of President, I could see our crazy dem leaders claiming “reee Trump has always been incompetent and can’t lead this country, therefore we are invoking 25th”. They are stupid, but probably not that stupid. Not only does he have a silent majority of popular support, but the SCOTUS would slap that shit down.

They’ll still do it though, since it’s all just theater.

Indianapede 2 points ago +2 / -0

It’s the same as her impeachment thing that she knew would not go anywhere and only done because they have the house.

1
thegeeseisleese 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its not the action itself, its the lasting impression it leaves on uninformed voters that don't care enough to look into the facts. All they see is "Trump was impeached" and now they'll see, "They're declaring him unfit for office, wow I should vote for this Joe guy."

Still won't happen, my vote has been locked into Trump since Kavanagh. All it took was some critical thinking. My thought was Kavanagh getting in was nt changing the makeup of the SCOTUS, why are they fighting tooth and nail for it. I saw the treatment of his family, what these scummy people tried to do to a good man. I've been moving slowly right since 2012 so I saw through the facade. Im 46 so I got maybe 40 years of life left. Every singe vote from me will be if you support Trumpism you have my vote

Why wouldn’t she just wait a couple weeks and it’s over. Why the Hail Mary and threatening the life of the president?

1
mathteach314159 1 point ago +1 / -0

My guess would be so that Trump wouldn’t hold office from the election through January while this mess of an election plays out in the courts. Its a stupid democrat plan, but I am being redundant.

Indianapede 2 points ago +2 / -0

She 100% knows it can not work. just doing it for the headlines? “Every arrow in her quiver”?

Before Nancy even opens her yap today there should be a Motion to Vacate the Chair. I think even the lowlist Member can make the motion and it must be dealt with - I don't know for sure.

I don't know what happens after that, but it would be fun seeing Nancy fight for her political life for a change.

If someone knows more about the Motion to Vacate the Chair please share with us.

It is bullshit anyway. The House cannot initiate the 25th, only a majority of Executive Branch Officers can do that. Just more meaningless show for the dumbed-down sheep, left uneducated by liberal teachers.

Well if you think about it, it is a win win for the Democrats. Trump wins, they use this to get him out of office. Biden wins, they medically tap him and name KAAAmala as new President. They will stop at nothing to make sure America turns into a socialist nightmare.

You think your candidate is safe in the basement? I will debate him, Nancy! I WILL DEBATE HIM!

It’s the political equivalent of a Hail Mary. But it’s a Hail Mary from their own 5 yard line with the punter playing quarterback and the coaches playing wide receiver.
