This cunt is going to try to legislate an "independent commission" to determine whether POTUS is fit, outside of the Constitutionally prescribed method using the President's cabinet.

Like her little publicity stunt has a .00000000001% chance of getting anywhere in the Senate.

I really wish that these people could be impeached or face automatic repercussions when their investigation fails. It's just unfucking real the shit these people get away with.

Yeah a real failing by the founders. Impeachment of a president was necessary to draft up on how that would and should be used when the criteria is met. But they did not give a prescription on what to do if a batshit Speaker of The House attempts a coup of the president. Like.....we literally have nothing, no statute or document for such a scenario? I mean really???

I always say I wish at the very least it should work like a challenge does in sports. If your challenge fails, you lose something. At the very least, they should be barred from creating motions/investigations. Honestly I really feel like an impeachment should result in you losing your seat if you initiate it. That would prevent bullshit ones for sure.

Possible fixes:

If an impeachment fails, those who voted for impeachment lose their seat.

Impeachment must first take a full up-down vote to initiate before any subcommittee hearings or full floor hearings.

If you go against the Constitution legislatively it should get you thrown into jail by default, instantly, automatically.

Hold on, think about that from the other end. Imagine that there was a someone in the WH that was doing some bad things, but they set it up so that an impeachment against them would fail because of some sort of forethought they gave it. With what you're saying, now the people bringing impeachment against this legitimately bad person are not only unable to find another way, but they're getting punished for not being able to prove their case sufficiently? That all sounds like a really bad idea. I'd rather not turn into Iran, thank you.

Yeah that's a fair argument too.

In a reasonably sane world, her stunt would backfire on her and the dims very, VERY badly.

The media will cover for her. Guaranteed.

No doubt about that. In fact I just heard Fox News Radio reporting on it an hour ago with kid gloves on, in the gentlest way possible like it was a sensible thing and reasonable to do.
