Honestly unless it is done the day it is said, it will look like an potentially empty promise. I agree it should be, but I am not sure if a president can do that, if he can it would be good for him in every way. Democrats are "its for your safety" for political power, and it will get them to embrace that past from Kamala and other Democrats. There is a difference between law and order for harming crimes and non harming crimes such as marijuana use that Trump and Trump supporters have IMO. Democrats are now the party of arbitrary restrictions, so it will also get a few people to compare it to the other "we know what will make the collective safe" mindset, and turn against the rest of the Covid BS.
