Fun fact. The FBI was created under by necessity when Roosevelt was president. They have no other mandate than that the president wanted them to go investigate anarchists and make sure they didn't shoot another president.

The FBI literally could be disbanded tomorrow without any legal fuss (unless the Supreme court suddenly decides that not only can the president not cancel previous executive orders without a super duper good reason but the president can't disband organizations created by his predecessor anymore).
