Blow up your TV

Throw away the papers

Move to the country

Build you a home

Raise a bunch of children

Feed em all peaches

Let em find Jesus

On their own

Agree, except I think we should lead our children to Christ.

They call it “indoctrination”, and they’re so pissed over the idea that people could indoctrinate their children with good moral fiber, but it’s only because they want to indoctrinate our kids to become trannys and sluts instead.

Exactly. We know they are getting the other point of view everywhere else in society. They should get the Truth from their parents. Can you imagine if on Judgement Day your child didn't know Christ and you never bothered to try to lead him to Christ? Guess you didn't find him on your own. I let the world lie to you and didn't try to counter it. Oops. The Bible is clear that we are to train our children up in the way they should go.

Not trying to criticize OP because I agree overall, and he may be saying something different, but this is a message I hear surprisingly often from Christian parents.

Well the Prophet St. John of Prine wrote it thusly and thusly it was transcribed.

Lyrics like only John Prine could write.

"I knew that topless lady, had something up her sleeve "

🤣🤣🤣

Kill your screen time.

Man this one kills me. I have even contemplated just getting a flip phone, but an iPhone is just too convenient. It plays music, has gps, camera, etc all in one. To get a flip phone, I would need 3-4 additional devices. I need to learn to stay off the phone, but I struggle with it.

I've still got a flip phone. I use paper maps. I use the CD player in my car if I want music. I cut cords save internet long ago. This site is the closest thing to social media I have. I'm in my early 30s. I don't get along well with my generation.

The phone is training you with dopamine. Working as intended.

I ditched mine 5 years ago. If I need directions to somewhere complicated, I print it before I leave. If you have to send a text somewhere for sales purposes, etc., there are online ways to do it with a PC or lappy.

No one actually needs a smart phone unless their job requires it, which is why I got rid of mine. Some jobs will chain you to those things. When I no longer worked for someone, I ditched it. However, some self-employment jobs do require you to be able to contact people on the fly and go to a lot of places. In that scenario, I could see smart phones are worth their while.

How do you get out of the matrix when you don’t know you’re in it?

BrewSwillis 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fuck that. I use my phone to come on here. No social media at all for me.

Even just one day a week: put it down, turn it off, enjoy organic life, maybe even pray.

The commercials are the worst part of watching TV. Every other commercial is about making white males look weak.

The idea of paying a cable company $200 a month or more to watch endless commercials is absurd. It should be the other way around.

I would argue that you should not kill television, but make it serve the MAGA cause.

Instead of commie and Islamic shows, make television show MAGA things like the real history of America, how Donald Trump is good, and how Obama is very evil. You would not believe how many people you can help with a simple video.

Remember, television, like all forms of media, is just a tool in the end like a knife, hammer, or gun: only just as good or evil as the person using the tool.

We have a lot of work to do.

All I watch on TV is Tucker, Gutfeld, car shows, and some American Pickers and Pawn Stars. And then the fucking Motor Trend channel has this forced Oprah show on about racism, after Fentanyl Floyd OD'ed.

I also occasionally watch movies, that are as uncucked as possible, because I can't stand commercials.

I'm no longer susceptible to any media/Hollywood propaganda. Can spot it a mile away.

BIG_TUNA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Once you see the media and Hollywood propaganda it's hard to enjoy watching much of anything. Every now and again I'll find a cool movie though...Rambo Last Blood was fucking epic. Other than that I'll stick to older action flicks with badass white male lead roles

otistoole 2 points ago +3 / -1

American Pickers is awesome but damn the hosts are kind of douchey

3
BrewSwillis 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah. I just like seeing the old shit. I don't give a shit about the scripted drama and story lines.

2
otistoole 2 points ago +2 / -0

Me too. Awesome Americana on that show

I broke my connection to the TV when I joined the Navy as a young man. A 7 year stint where routine evening television just wasn't in my lifestyle. I never resumed the habit. I don't pretend to have diverted myself to higher minded evening pursuits - if I am in front of a screen I'll be gaming. I have a small PC with XMBC running and many terabytes of movies and TV shows that I watch - what I want to watch, when I want to watch it. Have not watched free to air television in 20 years. No nightly news, no newspapers. I catch the general gist of the day to day local news just through osmosis with people around me. No twitter, no facebook. Deleted my Reddit account earlier this year (only used it to post on T_D). I still get hit with some MSM leaking through to front pages and sidebars on the internet and it only reinforces how laughably blatant and hamfisted the attempts at programming are.

For heavens sake. Stop watching the networks, cut the cable, get a good internet connection and stream. Get a decent over the air digital antenna (for local news). If your in the car regularly listen to local AM for local news and conservative hosts. My streaming channels are Bit Chute, Youtube (they still have conservative channels), Parler, GAB, DLIVE, INFO Wars, as well as news sites like Breitbart and others give great content. The best part is I'm not demoralized listening to propaganda garbage.
