After watching the Presidential debate last night, I personally find it
hard to believe that anyone would support Trump. He, very clearly, is a
dangerous racist and called on the "proud boys" to stand by after the
election. The "proud boys" are the white supremacists. If you support
that call to arms, then I am afraid that, despite my love for you, I
will no longer associate with you.
I am profoundly saddened by this decision. However, my firmest belief is
that there is no justification for discrimination on the basis of race,
sexual orientation, immigration status, or any other aspect of humans
that may lead to diminishing their value to society. I am thankful that
[WIFE] is not like you, which means your children have hope of being
raised as humane individuals.
Please do not respond to this message, because there is nothing you can
say that will change this decision. But, do remember, that I love you
and hope that one day you will understand why I have made this decision.
