I think a lot of democrats are democrats for the same reason a lot of catholics are catholics.

Their dad was catholic, so was his dad, and his dad, etc. It's just how it's always been. Don't break tradition. Go to mass for Easter and Christmas. Don't know much about religion, but they play the part.

I think there a lot of generational democratic families. Don't know much about politics, but putting out that Biden sign is like going to mass with grandad. It's just what you DO. It's tradition, and nobody wants to rock the boat.
