Governor Whitmer is a tyrant. That’s been on full display since February. She’s already ignored the state legislature’s votes on lockdowns, and after the Michigan Supreme Court ruling rescinding the antiquated emergency powers law Whitmer was hiding behind, she lambasted the court and basically said she would continue to use executive authority to continue with her covid restrictions.

If she does this, A legal battle is coming, and Whitmer will be found in contempt of the judicial and legislative rulings. Which she may also ignore. When that happens we’ll have a good old fashioned Mexican standoff on our hands.

TLDR: Whitmer is creating the “right wing conspiracy” narrative now, so that when the very real scenario of recall and removal come to head, she can overrule the Michigan state legislature, and the vote, and consolidate her cadre of support and retain power.
