It's a lot of fkn hard work to maintain what our country seeks to be. I challenge every person reading this comment to today find out who is on your city council, what they are for, and what they've been doing. Do the same for your state representatives. If this all seems like too much work (muh family muh job), you can either sit back and let leftist goons continue to take the wheel, or carve out time to be a proper citizen. If you'd like to do the latter, motivate yourself by imagining what it would be like to have and grow MAGA at home and have a high-functioning local govt. It's always easier to do things when less people are involved - local govt is the perfect place for this. It also provides community we as humans desperately require. Translate that to the state govt - we're all proud of our states, imagine the pride knowing the state was generally on the same page and working to be better, instead of some defunct shithole with terrifying financial books. Now imagine if 20 states could do this - wow. Want to shrink the federal govt? Want to upend the swamp? Taking over our locales and states is the way. I don't think we have 5 states that have their shit together.
That's what "the left" did for 5+ decades while we, and, as you say, our fathers, sat back. If we don't wanna do anything but work and enjoy the fruits of that labor, then the ideal govt is a benevolent monarch or dictator. At this point, we don't have that choice - we are a constitutional republic. That means our future is on all of us. We can take it back but it will require eternal vigilance.
Agreed. We also need some of our guys to step up and run for office. All I have done is graduate college and work for other people. That does not qualify me to run for office. If you built something or did something please step forward. We can organize here to help.
