I was 19 at the end of Bush's presidency. My thoughts ...

He was a lame follow-up to Reagan :-) .

Do you have a specific question about him as a president?

I didn't really care for him. I voted for Clinton (I used to think I should be shot for that, but I kind of suspect Bush wanted to lose to his other son from Arkansas ... I was never a leftist/marxist ... More moderate ... But the first three months of Clinton pretty much sealed the deal for me when it comes to supporting Democrats ... I'll never do that again).

His New World Order comment was a bit scary.

With the USSR finished, everyone felt like we were heading towards world peace. Man were we fucking wrong. Bush didn't seem to have any interest in extending olive branches to post-communist, former USSR countries. I would have thought there would have been more movement on our end to build bridges with the Russian people ... Nothing like that happened.

He handled Iraq brilliantly ... Right up until the point where he should have finished Hussein off. If Hussein was as vile as we were told, you'd think it would have made sense to get rid of him. As the years marched on, it seems like he was left there on purpose. Call it military contracts, CIA related stuff, etc.

California was overrun with illegal immigrants ... So many that the state flipped to D in 1992. That would be like seeing two Texases flip to D. Bush did absolutely nothing to hold Democrats accountable to the terms laid out after Reagan's 1986 amnesty ... We were supposed to have a secure border as a result of that amnesty.

Finally, something seemed to change in 1989 ... I recall seeing a lot of commercials about racism. I never thought less about anyone over skin color. I only had one black friend in my life at the time. There's a lot more I recall seeing that, in retrospect, looks like the seeds of division were being sowed.

If I were to place a bet when the whole globalist movement officially put the pedal to the metal, I'd put my money on the start of the HW Bush presidency.
