Pretty soon we will learn that Disney is hurting much more than we originally thought.

I think it was Yellow Flash that pointed out releasing Mulan amidst corona indicates they are strapped for cash, and releasing it on other platforms indicates they are VERY strapped for cash.

ESPN is fukt, but we're only focusing on it because it's something we can see and quantify right now.

Disney is gigafucc’d. Consider the following:

  • when the parks are open, they can spend upwards of $10000 per day just on the 9PM 15 minute fireworks show at the Anaheim location. How much more do you think the rest of the parks cost to maintain? And they’ve had zero cash flow in for months

  • almost everyone stopped caring about Marvel after Endgame

  • Star Wars is not the cash cow they were hoping for (except for Mandalorian, maybe)

  • the live action movies also haven’t been as profitable as hoped, but again, they also can’t release them in theaters

  • ESPN is hemorrhaging money, and that’s only accelerated this year

  • none of this is expected to change in the near future since California is run by morons
