Live in a small, rural town with a mask mandate from city hall and mayor. All businesses in town have mask mandate signs posted on doors. About 75% compliance. Have never worn one and no one has said a thing, no eye rolls or side eye. Even had a conversation in a grocery store with the masked head of local US Marshals district, very pleasant conversation! Taught myself to not touch my face when I'm out and hand sanitize immediately when I get back in my vehicle,
Same experience here in small town Indiana. The majority of people in grocery stores are wearing them, but so far I haven't seen anyone say anything to those of us who don't. When it comes to the convenience stores/gas stations, about the only people wearing masks are the employees.
