However, I also don’t know anyone who caught the WuFlu. I have a couple lib friends who voted Hillary in ‘16 who are pissed at the leftward swing of the Dems and who may go Trump.

FWIW.

I know quite a few people who didn’t even vote in 2016 who are gonna vote for him this time

I just know two people but they're cucks anyway

Then they were never Trump voters in the first place . Just liars

What are their reasons? I’m genuinely curious about that change. Is it WuFlu related? My sister is a mask NAZI, so I can see it being a motivating factor.

One is national debt the other is COVID

The-nii [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Seems like you should be able to work on the debt guy/gal. It’s been a problem for forever. The “pandemic” people....sheesh. We have neighbors who still won’t even go to the store.

I’ve tried with the debt, there’s no budging. He won’t stop about how dems are supposedly better with it just because Clinton balanced it and Obama halved it from Bush

6
TrumpVictorious 6 points ago +7 / -1

So he’s pro Green New Deal. That’ll help the debt.

It’s a tough argument for people who don’t want to have it. Bush shouldn’t ever be a baseline since he caught the tech bubble burst (that bubble having benefiting Clinton) and the ‘08 subprime crisis which was the result of Dems incentivizing people who should not own homes to buy homes they couldn’t afford.

I was a in high school during Clinton's 2nd term.. i had a history teacher make a comment that stuck with me that whoever was the next president was going to be screwed

Show your covid "friend" the early coverage of Donald Trump trying to stop international flights from China and democrats screaming "racism" and going to chinatowns to eat dinner for photo ops.

Same here. Same assessment.

My Facebook went from 170 to 230 people over four years. It went from 19 vocal supporters to 43 vocal supporters. I didn't select people to add based on politics.

I don't know a single person who switched away from Trump.

Anecdotes are not evidence obviously, but when we all have the same anecdotes...

Everyone I know who voted for Trump in 2016 is voting for him in 2020. I know 1 person who voted Hillary and 1 person who voted 3rd party who will vote for Trump this time. Also 1 person who voted Hillary who wont be voting this time because of Kamala Harris.

I voted Hillary. Everyone in my family either voted Hillary or didn't vote. We're all voting Trump. Plus many others I know that are in the same boat.

What caused the change?

We’re visiting family in Arizona right now, and I ran into an old guy from the neighborhood while out walking the dog. We started chatting about this and that, and got onto the topic of the elections, and he said he had a running bet with a few people that Trump was going to lose. Said he had voted for Trump the first time around, but only because he didn’t want Hillary to win, and wasn’t going to again. I didn’t question him or really get into it, but it was an interesting take, and made me wonder how many others would be voting the opposite way this time because they prefer Biden to both Trump and Clinton.

The-nii [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I can certainly understand that Hillary was that toxic

2
p1smo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Absolutely. People on both sides of the aisle despise the Clintons, but as bad as Biden is, he doesn’t hold a candle to the level of corruption and destruction the Clinton crime cabal inflicted upon this country and the world. Many still view him as a folksy, old school moderate, and probably believe things will return to a sense of normalcy if he’s elected. Not saying I agree with it, but I do try to play devil’s advocate because it’s important to understand what other are thinking so you can better respond to them.

The-nii [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thanks. That’s what I’m trying to do as well. My bubble is so polarized- I know Trump people who are more Trump today than 4 years ago and Biden people in the vice versa sense.

The folksy description reminds me of Carter, before my time.

Good thing democrats added camel hillary to biden's ticket.

Just people who died since 2016 now automatically vote Democrat somehow

2
kuru_clinton 2 points ago +2 / -0

maybe my cousin who was a freshmen in 2016. now got a job in the DC swamp. i think his TDS mom got to him.

2
TheAmbulance 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh I got it in jan .day 104 tired as fuck. Day later. Fine. Still voting for trump

2
ndtrump2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Unfortunately I do. A close family member works as a professor at a university. Voted Trump in 2016. Is just about full blown commie now.

2
oh_hi_solidarity 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's always a new batch of retarded college leftists each voting cycle. You need enough older converts to counteract this, along with counteracting the republicans turn democrat post mortem

I don't know of anyone in my extended family, across the state I live in, who has died, been hospitalized or even contracted COVID19. No "uncle's golf friends cousin" even. No one in my company that is nationwide (Australia) has contracted it. In 2020, medically I have been concerned more with an elderly aunts heart condition, a parents bone disease problem etc and the start of a small haemorrhoid on my ass (protip - don't browse T_D on the shitter until your ass and legs go numb- that numbness and the resulting return of blood flow repeated day after day is what causes blood vessels down there to clot up and form a haemorrhoid).

Tell me again world why I should be concerned one iota about COVID19.

Good info, thanks. I’m trying to make sense of my own observations and the polls. I’d challenge him/her on the science though

I get it bud. This COVID thing is so binary. So many are freaked out by it. My neighbors won’t go out because they worry about infecting their 1 and 3 yo grandkids. Kids don’t die from this. Kids end up dying later on because they HAVEN’T been exposed to the more minor stuff.

He kept his promises. And honestly I've even been amazed at some things (like no new wars, lowest Black unemployment EVER, an economic miracle...

Sure, democrats aren't participating in the economy. But democrats are only smelly dead weight.

Itateeverybody 1 point ago +1 / -0

Had Corona. Its a joke. Its a fever and cough and then its gone in a day or two. The sort of thing that you'd milk to get out of going to school for a day or two when you were a kid.

1
GrizWallerOGV 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yet so many people around here are convinced the Dems have gained ground just because they're screaming so much louder. Don't let them get into your head.

1
BigPoppaPossum 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not a single one. I do, however, know plenty of people who hated Trump in '16 but now are voting for him

1
agave_lime 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm sure some have. I mean, Richard Spencer is supporting Biden. My guess is Trump got support from a few racists who thought the media was telling the truth in 2016, and then found out the hard way the only ""people"" (and I use that term very loosely) Trump and us centipedes hate are communists.

The only people who voted trump in 2016 that arent in 2020 have already been on every news channel and political ad. Its about 4 people.

If there was so many, like we're lead to believe, theyd be plastered all over the news
