I am an independent. Mine was the BLM riots, anti-white hate campaign, and discovery of Critical Race Theory. It happened pretty much all at once for me.
Mine started about 10 years ago. After seeing the middle East during my deployment to Iraq, it became apparent to me that Islam was not something that was compatible with Western values. My experience ran contrary to what I was being told about it being a "religion of peace".
Then, after having heard my whole life how terrible of a person Ronald Reagan was, I came across this video a couple of years later.:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpH5L8zCtSk
I agreed with EVERYTHING he was saying. I was shocked. How had I never heard any of this before? Nothing I had ever seen or heard made more sense to me than what Reagan was saying. It made me wonder: How much was I being told about what the other side believed that wasn't true?
Then came Gamergate. I started to see how much bullshit was being shoveled down my throat. Then came the memes. I was on reddit a lot, and saw how they treated GG and KIA, etc. I got curious about r/thedonald. I also saw, during 2015/16 how corrupt the DNC was, how they railroaded Bernie, and how much they and the media propped up Clinton. I started thinking, if they do that to Bernie, what would they be doing to Trump? Got curious, checked out r/t_d, and the rest is history.
I ended up voting for Trump out of protest in 2016, but now, I'd drag my dick through 10 miles of glass to vote for Trump again.
