I am an independent. Mine was the BLM riots, anti-white hate campaign, and discovery of Critical Race Theory. It happened pretty much all at once for me.
When HRC was the democratic nominee. I've always been a left-centrist but that put me over the edge. The Clinton's should be in jail, not running out country. I still can't understand how anyone would have supported her. I lost some friends after the election because I was very against her nomination and mercilessly went after her supporters when she lost. How stupid do you have to be to think that woman should be president or she could have won? I still don't agree with the GOP on many things, but right now I think the party is moving us in the right direction.
