It is the large widespread US born latinos in SJ who noped tf out and got aggressive when they ramped up there- a few freeway attacks and 2 days downtown, then.... nada.
Add in a hefty population of anti Communist Vietnamese and also Hindus/Sikhs, and the violent La Raza and BLMers clearly decided it wasn't safe to keep it up.
Hell, my wildly liberal super LGB ally who posted a supportive item in early June on BLM youngest daughter who lives there just referred to them as "hope you can avoid running over any rioters... I mean protesters lol... on way here".
She's EurAsian and hubby is of recent Mexican descent- and she thought it was hilarious his DNA test came back over 75% European and he's more white than she is.
