It's been a few years but I think I heard him say on a podcast that he just isn't about 'the lifestyle' of spending a bunch of money on look-at-me items like sports cars. He drove whatever shit ass van he had in college and didn't go into the NBA as a high draft pick making 20 million dollars or whatever, so since his shit wasn't broke he didn't bother fixing it. As his teammates teased him more and more for not driving what the rest of them drove it made him more and more resolute to be 'normal'.

I am (was) a UK fan. So I liked the idea of rooting for the heat with Herro and Bam.... but UK ended up marching with/ for blm and then the other night freaking Herro had “black lives matter” on the back of his jersey like a white beta bitch.
Can’t get into the NBA/NFL etc now.
Especially when brees went from sticking up for the American flag -> wearing the name of a literal rapist on his helmet.
