Assuming he takes the same tact as he did with COVID originally, he might not want to make people panic. And, if people thought this was a thing that could actually happen this easily that wouldn't be just Americans panicking. That would be on a global scale.
As soon as he says anything solid about it the MSM will pick it up as "Trump believes insane conspiracy theory". It will be used as another reason why he's unfit for office, and every bad thing that happens to Asians in the US will be blamed on racism that he caused.

I read somewhere that the US was testing Corona Viruses in the US. For some reason <maybe too dangerous?> the testing had to stop. Obama and Fauci contracted the testing out to Chy-na.
The media hasn't said a word about the labs studying coronaviruses, except to dismiss any talk of anything but their very existence as conspiracy theories, while ignoring all the evidence of their previous blunders. Whether it was released on purpose or on accident, evidence points to it existing in a lab before the first reported case in China.
Yes, I read a research paper from UNC Raleigh/Durham. The researchers realized the mutations possible - could become very dangerous, so they recommended ending the research. Only time I've ever seen that in a research paper.
One of the staff at UNC R/D was from Wuhan. So the research continued in Wuhan, with money from Obama's administration. And here we are.
