I think this MAGAutist is on to something. If not an off duty police officer, probably someone with military or LEO training.
What is concerning is how often this is happening now. I am afraid that the time to settle our politics with words is quickly slipping away.
The way he's holding the pistol is a taught stance. An amateur wouldn't just naturally grip it like this. It will be interesting to watch this one flesh out. I'm betting prior LEO who got fired but still wants to push people around. Fired because of pushing people around or maybe shooting someone. It's odd that the police won't give out his name but only initials. That's a strong indicator that something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

It was a pretty common military practice in WWII to carry with an empty chamber when combat was not imminent, and the Israelis likely stuck with that idea for safety reasons considering that pretty much their entire population carried a sidearm. Here is an interesting article on the subject:

I would never carry with an empty chamber, but the Israelis still do to this day, and I've even met a couple of guys that carry their concealed pistols this way.

Yeah I don't think it was a cop or military. That stance isn't some super special sauce stance like everyone is making it out to be, it's just one of the two most popular pistol shooting techniques. Anyone who took a basic pistol course, which IIRC is required to get a concealed carry in CO, would shoot like that.

Their facts don't make sense. Cops don't Israeli carry. Most departments don't allow RMRs. In order to work security, a cop could need a class G license in addition to his credentials. Why do that when you can just work off duty? My money is on private contractor prob former military. Bottom line the dude brought bear mace to a gun fight. I need more intel on how the situation progresses and the confluence of events

If you can hear the racking of the gun, there is absolutely no way it's a cop. We do not carry weapons that are not ready to go. We carry exactly like we do on duty because of muscle memory when shit goes down.

First shot is always the hardest, and center of mass is a bigger target and is easier for placement of rounds. Should have had one in the chamber already, too. I hope that he was aware of who may have been behind the target if he missed said head shot.

I’ve done Mozambique drills at the range, but I would never try a headshot on purpose. I will always go chest/body just because I know I’ll hit my target.
Yessir. I'm getting ready to post a target where I was practicing that drill. Agree with you totally on the larger targets. Even at steel matches when shooting all large targets, getting the first one on target from the draw is always the one that I focus on.
