The founding fathers never meant for freedom of religion to include false religions like Islam, or the satanists. Ban that shit. Just rip the band aid off and do it. No place in the west.

We've had laws against it on the books for decades. They are being deliberately ignored: U.S. Code › Title 18 › Part I › Chapter 115 › § 2385 and the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952. Contact your congress critters and demand enforcement.

Nah religious freedom means all religions. But you should also be able to criticize all religions, which is why we have the first amendment. Practice your religion as long as it doesn't break laws. If it does you get arrested. If you think the religion is bullshit, you can call it out without fears of legal action, that's how it should be.

Islam is also a great example of the importance of separation of state. Countries with religion as the foundation of government are fucked up with corruption constantly, because using the faith of the people to govern is emotionally manipulating them.

Leave religion to the individual instead of government, because you don't know who will go into power next. It could be a crazy islamic person who lies and uses their religion to manipulate. It could be a crazy christian person who lies and uses their religion to manipulate.

Not if your religion is literally made to kill and destory the rest. No it does not protect such religion.

If some idiot wants to say they practice Islam and lay on a mat a couple of times a day they should have the freedom to do that. Freedom of expression for all makes America great. People can freely practice religion (if they are following other laws) and I can call them dumbasses.

There is no freedom of expression. Freedom of speech and right to bare arms. But not expression, and the hypocrisy of the left are abusing this incorrect understanding.

Men Used to get arrested for exposing themselves to women and children. Now homosexuals parade themselves in the open in front of everyone completely butt ass naked and no punishment?

Freedom of religion but the founders had not known the Quran or that it clearly and openly preaches the destruction of all others.

We need to be better at making sure hypocrisy falls as the democrats will fall in November

Of the Christian faith. Unless you genuinely believe a group of 18th century Christians were accepting of satanism.

Islam is also a great example of the importance of separation of state.

ISLAM IS A STATE. You ain't the freshest egg in the coop, are ya?

Nowhere in the constitution does it mention Christianity, nor even keywords like Jesus. And, I suppose unfortunately for your theory, almost every religion has a God, so the word "God" doesn't mean Christianity. They were also masonic and had some other odd beliefs, but they were fair and smart, so they knew the importance of separation of state and church.

You clearly are an atheist and don’t really understand what was going on then. To Christians, there is only one God. So when we say God, we are being specific.

Separation of church and state has now morphed into some weird thing where people believe that government should have nothing to do with religion, but back then it only meant that there should be no state approved denomination of Christianity.

Did you know that the Congress and the Senate back then had their own chaplains? Or that the first thing Washington did was go to church after being sworn in? Hell, we still swear on the Bible. Do those things comport with people who were overly concerned about the government and religion being separate?

Very well can be. Doesn't mean if some idiot wants to say they practice islam and lay on a mat a couple of times a day they shouldn't have the freedom to do that. That’s what people pretend today, but the founders were thinking of different sects of Christianity, not something like Islam.

Islam is a political ideology disguised as a religion and as such enjoys no protection under our Constitution.

Freedom's non-negotiable dude. There's nothing in the constitution that bans people having ideologies either. If they break laws they get arrested. Thinking, no matter how wrong or stupid, shouldn't get you arrested.

There is no room in a free country for a "one true religion". If you want religion in government, you'll have to make room for others. If you want to claim "oh that's not what they meant it was quite different back then" then you'd have to concede the same way for the right to bear arms to be limited to muskets and nothing modern. That's not freedom.

Islam is not a religion as much as a political ideology disguised as one.

It is a hostile foreign power, and should be treated as such.
