Maine is a beautiful state and is totally red. Unfortunately the Democrats treat it like they do the rest of the country. Using population centers to foster their evil to out vote the free people in the countryside. Go outside of Portland, Lewiston etc and the State and people are freedom loving Americans. I have a place in Hancock County, the whole county is Trump Country but Ellsworth and the wealthy in Bar Harbor turn it blue. Ellsworth is Democrat because of the poor, Bar Harbor because of the rich who can afford to virtue signal with their votes. Like always the hard working people in the middle that pay for everything get left out.

Deere Isle here, blm signs on the island. Influx of ny and oh plates. Libs are buying up land here. It's getting awkward.

I have seen those signs. I’ve also seen those signs that say “I believe in blah blah”. I really hate that crap. I don’t get as an American putting a sign out to say what you believe. It’s basically daring you to have a different opinion.

That is absolutely true. I’m in a blue town where everyone has these stupid “I’m not a racist” signs all over their yard. I notice they are always the same people who avoid sending their kids to that “other” school and lock their car doors when they see a black person walk by.

Or they move in, put up the sign, yet mistake their "neighbor of color" for the nanny and never say hello...until they figure out the truth. Then be too embarrassed to ever make eye contact.

Yes, I don’t care who you are that moves next door, but you had better love the very country that gives you the freedom the entire world admirers.

Nah, fren, the most racist are the race miscegenators who sire them odd looking hybrid kids in order to prove they're not racist.

I have replied with one in the same multicolor format that says

I Decline Further Participation In Your Delusions

The looks of confusion are great

The "Hate Has No Home Here" sign. As if to say "no hate in my house, but I can't speak for the rest of the block." That sign seems like a nostalgic throwback at this point.

That’s exactly it. Why don’t they realize what that sign actually means and how it makes their neighbors feel, maybe neighbors that do care like normal people tend to do but are more private about their opinions

Can confirm. Look at the prices for rural cabins and houses. Drive out to them and notice how many are empty or have out of state plates in the yard.

I live in the Forest of Northern California and I can't tell the difference between the country folks here and the oregon folks on the border of california. We all act the same and do not want the governments help besides for them to give us land back or to manage the land they stole from us...

Thanks for this clear explanation, helps make sense. I think this is the pattern in many historically red states.

Back in the days when I used to listen to NPR I remember this one program that talked about how republicans are taking over all the local governments slowly under the noses of democrats and using it to turn congress and senate red. Now when I think about it, I think that was pure projection. Looks like thats exactly what the Dems had been doing all this time.
