As a giant nerd, at age 18 (and probably still a giant nerd now) I understood these things and have never voted for a Democrat in my life. Unfortunately, the Republicans let me down all the time, until Trump came along.

Who knows? Some people never understand. Take my 80 year old father in law who told me "China is proof communism can work." Perhaps age is a poor metric...

I don't remember when it clicked for me, maybe 17, maybe 9. Which is bullshit because we all should know that moment.

We're told to register and go vote, but not how to get ready to vote. You'd think more juniors or seniors in high school would care more.
