have your gramma's person bring a few items to the hospital; some of her perfume to spritz on the pillow, her favorite sweater or afghan, hand-written notes and/or framed photos; it helps personalize a depersonalized space. most hospitals will allow flowers; the problem is finding a florist who will deliver. (i help out at a friend's florist, and we do deliveries to the hospitals). also, it never hurts to suck up to the nurses and care techs; send a couple of pizzas to the nurse's station, cookies/cupcakes and make sure there's a card: "from gramma x's (rm 214) family, in appreciation for the care you're giving to our loved one." not that it requires these things for nurses to do their jobs---but it's nice to be appreciated. (speaking as someone who has been in the bed, taken care of the people in the bed, and delivered flowers to the people in the bed.)
In addition to prayers I've spent the last 8 months screaming my lungs out to get information to everybody that this lockdown and isolation BS is murder to the human soul and not justified BY ANY EVIDENCE OR REASON OR SCIENCE WHATSOEVER.
God help us, we're all dead sooner or later if we don't beat this global extermination cult murdering us all indiscriminately.
