Both participants stupidly decided to bring weapons to a "Peaceful" protest and both of them will suffer the results. One will never enjoy the love of his family ever again, the other will live with the pain of knowing his actions made a family grieve the unnecessary loss of a father, grandfather, or brother. SENSELESS
The “security guard” made it his business to get involved instead of getting his client away from the problem. They found trouble as part of their job then decided to play police man with the people they harassed.
This was murder for hire with a premeditated decision to find trouble. The 9news producer did exactly that. Produced a problem for ratings and it cost a man his life. They may all be prosecuted when the cookie crumbles.
You’re misunderstanding. The shooter made it his business to intervene instead of retreating from the group. There’s no reason they had to be so close for so long. If he truly was a security guard, his job would be to get his client away from the problem.
He didn’t do that. Instead, they made themselves part of the scuffle and hung around as opposed to getting as far as way as possible. He also had no reason to approach the victim to take his mace. Retreat was what he should have done and he had minutes to do so. They hung around and decided to get involved. The shooter took a slap to the face when he got handsy and then decided to blast away.
He will not be awarded with freedom, rather tried for murder.

It’s worse than this, IMO.

If it were me, I would have shot well before the spray.... assault should always be met with deadly force...
