It’s telling you that Columbus Day was found in your Holidays Calendar. So you can adjust your alarm if you don’t have to work. Not telling you to remove the date from your calendar.
Ya, Siri does this for all holidays to remind you to
turn off your daily alarms since you might not be working. It doesn’t say anything about taking it “off your calendar”.

It annoys me that Apple puts Eid in their standard US holidays calendar, with no easy way to remove it.

You can also disable this altogether.
Go to Settings--->Calendar--->Default Alert Times
Change All-Day Events to None.
