If starting your first build, pay close attention to how the springs in the trigger group go. Many issues later on come to be from incorrect spring installation.
I will suggest you look at Strike Industries ambidextrous parts. Aircraft grade aluminum parts for the lower build. And don’t get a mill spec trigger.. get a custom trigger. Rise Armaments for an example
Palmetto State is a good place if your looking to get some, they are affordable and reliable. Bought me one earlier this year and have had no issues at all so far with mine and did a ton of research before purchase.
It was like a year ago. Got an a2 lower and it came super caked in dust, the trigger was nice for a milspec one though. After my 2nd range trip, the stock screws came loose and the stock slipped off barely holding the receiver extension in place. Also the barrel extension and feed lips were not aligned correctly on the upper. I sold the upper, kept the stripped lower (no issue there, hammer wear is normal and not misaligned) sold the A2 stock because I just decided I wanted a collapsible stock.
Bought an aero upper with a ds arms barrel (btw awesome barrel for the price) got an aero receiver extension and all aero parts for the rest and put it together. The ds arms barrel was more accurate out of the box too.
What site do you use to get your components for a build?
Some loser downvoted this comment? Really?
Optics planet or Midway carry build parts. Good places to start. Then it depends on how far down the rabbit hole you wish to go
Thank you for the info. I plan to start my first build ASAP.

Excellent tip. I watched multiple videos to make damned sure I had the springs perfect.
Also careful with installing the dentent springs. Those lil bastards will shoot out and takes a few days for new ones to arrive.
Don’t ask me how I know this

LaRue 2 stage is a good option as well
PSA polishes trigger group is pretty good if on a budget

My first build was a psa it had a couple qc issues I wasn’t happy with and put a bad taste in my mouth
Was it recent? They upped their QC in the last few years. And if i'm not mistaken they just bought out Remington.

Palmetto state has a great upper - FN chf barrel with Geiselle rail. For triggers, I go strictly geissle ssa enhanced.
I got the pistol upper kit from PSA armory website. 10.5" barrel in 5.56. Everything but the stripped lower, optic, and mag came in that kit.
Stripped lower I bought from a friend who owns a shop in Provo, Optic from Amazon (Sig Sauer Romeo 5)
