Been a weapons mechanic during my conscription time in the German army, most fun I've ever had.
My favorite gun is still the MG3, you can remove a spring within the bolt assembly with a piece of steel of the same dimensions and get funny rates of fire similar to MG42, the barrel doesn't like that very much but if you keep changing at 100 rounds instead of the 150 on the normal assembly you'll be grand.
