Dick is known for his dystopian futuristic sci-fi novels, several of which have been turned into films -- Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, A Scanner Darkly, etc. The wife and I got into a spate of watching his movies during the pandemic. One was the Amazon Prime series The Man in the High Castle about an alternate history where the Nazis and Japanese conquered America during WWII. The first three seasons were well-written and entertaining. Season 4 was a total disaster starting with the introduction of a new unnecessary sub-plot involving Black people's underground movement for freedom. Along with that the writing went to hell, and my wife called the final episode the most unsatisfying conclusion to any series she has ever watched. The first three seasons rated 4-1/2 stars and 3 stars for season 4. Get woke, go broke.

And it's all so tedious - they advertise a strong male lead, but 5 minutes in to the plot, here comes "Super Chick" who turns out to be his boss or his partner who's better than him. Within another few minutes, they introduce the gay character and vastly amplify that person's role. Pretty soon the strong male lead needs to be saved by one or the other. Curtain. It's lecturing, and it's tedious.
Check out the MSM high-def sideband channels like Grit, Quest, MeTV and such. I stopped watching their main feeds years ago. I have no need for preachy SJW shows.

There's not ONE single new show that I watch. Not one that even looks remotely interesting. I've tried a few, but they were all crap. One of the more recent shows that was so laughably bad was a FOX show called A.P.B. It was based on the idea that a multi-millionaire tech developer decides to use his abilities and creativity to assist the police precinct in the most crime-ridden area of Chicago. I stopped watching after week four when every criminal in the show was white. Yes, all white criminals in the most crime-ridden area of Chicago. The show didn't last long, not just because of this, but because a very interesting concept was destroyed by lazy, boring plots and stupid sub-plots.
Of course there was a female hispanic as the lead cop who was naturally better than the rest of the inept cops in the precinct, because heaven forbid they had a man as the top cop. Ooops, I forgot, they need some dopey interracial love story subplot to make things even worse. There was probably a ton of other crap, but it was so bad I can't even remember all the details. I just remember watching the fourth week and saying to my wife, "If the bad guys are all white again, we're not watching anymore." Promise made, promise kept.
On top of all this, there's the interracial couples in EVERY commercial or the "smart minority/stupid white person" combo. So even the stuff in between crappy shows is unwatchable.
Screw the media/entertainment. I used to love movies and television. Oh well, at least I can re-watch all the good stuff as often as I want and it never disappoints. yeah, lots of garbage out. what is almost worse is when they give a little nod to how ‘you gotta have a female or a minority’ to appease the audience written into the dialogue. it is like a wink into the camera.

Good movies still exist, but they're hard to come by these days. You have to look for them, and you'll likely not find them in the mainstream. It's mostly absolute garbage.

U.S. media is how the outside world (including any adversary) pictures America. I can speak with some authority on this as my wife is foreign. The Left's brainwashing, unfortunately for it, only results in gaslighting those who are already on its side. Their opinions of America are easily formed because the Left controls the messaging platforms and the scope of its restricted information.
The media bubble forming the opinion of foreigners viewing from outside the States is very similar to the bubble created around American democrats who limit their media intake to only those outlets with which they agree... the resulting influence is the same... one by coercion, the other by choice.

I watch B movies a lot, low grade shit. I watch the hell out of cheesy horror flicks. You see, they don’t have enough money to be woke. It is shit story line and shit acting, BUT I find those two things funny.
