Yeah, about 10 years ago I realized I'm just not who the programming is for, whether it be TV, radio, movies... And it's all so tedious - they advertise a strong male lead, but 5 minutes in to the plot, here comes "Super Chick" who turns out to be his boss or his partner who's better than him. Within another few minutes, they introduce the gay character and vastly amplify that person's role. Pretty soon the strong male lead needs to be saved by one or the other. Curtain. It's lecturing, and it's tedious.
