You are wrong. And even cloth masks are effective WHEN USED PROPERLY as well as in the proper setting. Cloth masks don't work during an aerosolizing procedure (such as intubation or giving nebulizer treatments) but perfectly fine within 6 feet of a positive covid patient.

Wearing them on your chin, touching your face without washing your hands, basic Operator Failure is NOT equipment failure!

YOU HAVE TO BE THOROUGH. We have people who monitor us to make sure we don't miss a step in de-contaminating when removing our PPE. The facts and figures everyone wants to cite and run with are based on data that includes people leaving their noses uncovered and wearing a mask on their fucking chin.

There is no evidence of this. Only theoretical. And the experiment evidence shows around 3% filtration efficiency in use. Even less if it’s airborne, as the CDC now says.

The fact that you think you’ll be “perfectly fine” wearing a cloth mask within 6 feet of a COVID patient shows how dangerous this mask fanaticism is. It creates a false sense of security. If you actually want to be protected, wear an N95 or better. That thin piece of garbage on your face isn’t protecting you from shit.

Yeah, no evidence of the slower spread among hospital staff working with positive covid patients who have been using their masks PROPERLY and washing their hands before they eat or touch their face. Hence why I'm still working as well as the majority of the nation's frontline staff.

We had more infections when the hospital PREVENTED us from wearing masks. Because they thought the supply would run out.

Trump and Pence have BOTH said so many times how the projections were that we were going to lose MILLIONS of lives to this. Masks are a major part of the fight against covid and the reason the rates weren't as high as originally projected. Yet every one of you knuckleheads keep arguing against me despite Trump and Pence saying the same things. You people are insane.

Are you even reading my comments? Hospital staff wear N95s or better. They don’t wear these bullshit cloth masks.

Why are you worried about supply running out if cloth masks are so effective?

Are you even reading MY comments? I AM hospital staff you fucking retard! We ONLY wear N95's when we aerosolize a patient! Otherwise we are wearing simple surgical masks. I'm literally telling you what my hospital does and you want to argue based on your misunderstanding of what you're read on the fucking internet!

We have different levels that we designate patients who are positive. If they have a trach we're wearing an N95. Normal coughing patient? surgical mask. Level 1 vs Level 2, also makes the difference between wearing a simple face shield (clear plastic over our face) versus sealing goggles to keep a seal over our eyes.

PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE do go on and continue to lecture me what you THINK hospitals are doing when I'm the one actually doing it and reporting it to you! Fucking retard.
