As a nurse, I have an ACTUAL understanding of what an airborne illness IS. That would include Tuberculosis and Varicella.

DROPLET precaution include Influenza and COVID.

SOOO many of you argumentative assholes yelling and filling up my inbox when you FAIL to grasp the basic fundamentals which includes the difference between Airborne and Droplet. Also, masks don't work if you fail to wash your hands before touching your face. Basic, basic stuff!

First of all, I am sorry you are so angry. You don't need to lecture me on all this basic basic stuff. I also work in a hospital with an ACTUAL understanding of droplet and airborne precautions, as Im sure many other people here do. The problem is they are telling people it is airborne, when it is not. You are just supporting my point. It is spread through droplets, like the flu, which has never caused a statewide mandate for people to wear masks. Washing your hands and staying home ( or masks ) when you are actively sick is the number one defense... not 6 feet from all people and masks around the clock for the whole population.

Yikes. You claim to understand the basics but fail to understand the insidiousness of Asymptomatic spread. Do you think Trump caught it from someone who was Symptomatic or Asymptomatic??? Thank God we were as far along in understanding how to actually treat it when he caught it. I remember reading that he had received an "experimental treatment" for it but I never heard specifics. We could have actually lost GEOTUS to this and people are still acting like it's no big deal. Thank God GEOTUS has access to instant top of the line care.

CDC said that asymptomatic people are very unlikely to spread. And in terms of symptomatic people, many cases are so mild, many do not know when they have it. I know this supports your reason to wear a mask. But again, it seems like it is just like the flu, in the sense that you can be contagious when you first get it before displaying symptoms. Im not denying there is an illness. But it is treatable. Im concerned that they are censoring doctors with treatments. Practicing doctors that use HDQ had almost a 100% success rate if used early and then for some reason they ban HDQ many places. They made it political, when it didn't have to be. We shouldn't even have to debate this, but we are because they are not giving straight facts. All I can honestly speak to is what I observe at work and among people I know that have had it, and the facts that I have. My main problem with the mask is freedom. I don't think COVID is any more deadly than other illnesses America has faced. Ive known people with the swine flu, west nile virus, etc.... they're all brutal. I just don't believe in the state or country wide mandates. I believe that the people that fear the disease can wear masks or stay home as much as they can, while those who want to take the risk, should be able to.
