You want blame? Texas Governor Greg Abbott is your guy. Texas had the opportunity to stand up against this madness, very early on. Had Texas refused to shut down, most states would have followed. But no, he crumpled instantly in the face of media pressure, then the other states fell.
Texas as the second most populous state and the biggest red state had the chance to lead on this issue and our governor chose to cave. So blame Abbott.
You guys need to primary him out ASAP, and if it's going to take too long til next election, impeach him. If it's not a high crime to abuse emergency measures, I don't know what could possibly be.
