This was a combination vegan coffee-shop/cat-adoption service, where patrons could have a latte and pick up a new kitty in one trip. One might think this is exactly the kind of business that Leftists would support, but you would be wrong. The building leased for the Blue Cat Cafe, unbeknownst to the new tenants, was built on "indigenous ceremonial land," ie the parking lot next door to a pinata shop that had been torn down after the previous tenants failed to pay their rent for several months and ignored eviction notices.
I am unfortunately not making this up. Racist-against-wipipo miscreants/violent butthurt Pinata Enthusiasts organized by the "Defend Our Hoodz" Facebook page "protested" the Blue Cat Cafe/intimidated and attacked the owners + potential customers, with very little intervention by police (who claimed that opposing the mob of illegals would only make things worse.) Obviously there was no problem with Yelp making things worse, deleting/shadowbanning supportive comments while boosting rabble-rousing Antifa/La Raza propaganda. It was a preposterous preview of the Clown World BS currently plaguing the DNC Strongholds, now infecting many formerly peaceful towns.
