I do want to point out that no one is justified in shooting someone who pulls out a can of mace. Also, a security guard is not equal to a cop. Also, did the security guard identify themselves as security?
The victim in this case was stepping back. The murderer WANTED to find a reason to pull his gun and fire.
I agree 100%. I would rather get sprayed by mace than be shot anywhere, let alone in the head.
People bring mace to protect themselves without risking killing someone. It is not life threatening. And even if the victim used the mace as an attack and not as defense, all the shooter had to do was step back, get law enforcement, and have him charged. But the shot happened just as quickly as the mace in my opinion.
I knew arguing with this guy on these points would encourage his bullshit, and I saw an opportunity to use his own argument against him. I just had to wait for him to get stuck.
To elaborate a bit more: If you see lefties argue this was self defense, then just point out that the shooter violated the reasonable force definition of self defense. Using extreme (lethal) force in response to a non-lethal threat forfeits all claim to self defense in the court of law.
