Charity is not a solely Christian thing.
The Christians made its popularity rise not just in everyday life but whole organizations dedicated to deeds of Charity.
Wow think of all the Holy Orders created in Christ's name. Domic's Friars. Francisicans, Jesuits, Monks Little Sisters of the Poor could go on forever.
One should read the Old Testament again. The Israelites were ordered not to harvest the corners of their fields and orchards so that the poor would have food. They were also told to give charity and aid to strangers in need, because they themselves had been strangers in need at one point.
The Parable of the Good Samaritan in the New Testament was a slight against the Pharisees because they had become so obsessed with being Ritually pure that they forgot the very words of God.
Charity in Christianity sprung from the charity that the God of Abraham intended, not from anything inherently different between Judaism and Christianity.
Did it not take the New Testament to remind the Jews to be charitable? And maybe even convert?
I think were agreeing here. Youre saying the Jews always should have been charitable Im saying Christ's sacrifice was a great awakening for them.
And one religion is more likely to spread than the other and thus lead to more charity through its tenets. Christianity spreads the good news. Jews dont really

It rose because its inherently a ideology for state control. The Caliphate's goal is to conquer states using minds not to save their souls.
A violent ideology created in Northern Africa, uniting a people around it to control and subjugate those who do not submit. The region was unprepared for it. Thats why it rose.

Just because one belief system rises more quickly than another doesn't make it truth. Communism has risen quickly the past 100 years, doesn't make it superior to capitalism.
