I have raised them for years. Worst drake we ever had was when he only had two females. I swear I had to beat him near unconscious every morning. When the two ducks hatched their broods, I figured there would be at least one drake among the ducklings. I made steaks out of his breast meat and soup out of the rest.

The drake I have now is super chill. He has five ladies and yes, he gets all rapey about 9 am and again near evening. Even the chickens get pinned.
