HOLY FUCKING SHIT YOU GUYS! I'M DRIVING IN THE CAR BUT I JUST GOT A NOTIFICATION THAT RUTH BADER GINSBURG DIED! FUCK! COULD THIS YEAR GET ANY FUCKING WOOORRRRRSSEEE?! RUTH! YOU JUST HAD TO MAKE IT TO 2021! REEEEEEEEE!

Good morning, Monday morning

It has been just over 2 years since the Kavabrah nomination where the left stripped naked and showed the globe how insane they truly are. Two scoops of Justice was unbearable for them.

Well starting at 9am ET, it is time for a third scoop. Get boofed. FFFFFuck you libs.

With Sweet Lindsey presiding, opening statements from senators and Barrett are scheduled for today, with lawmakers questioning Barrett on Tuesday and Wednesday. Outside witnesses for and against her will testify Thursday.

Lindsey 2.0 has definitely been engaged. He has already refused multiple tests for the kung flu ahead of todays events, crushing the Dems hopes of shutting down the nomination like they shut down the Country. Cocaine Mitch looks to be on track and keeping his word. LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR

Gather round, say a prayer for Judge Barrett, that she may be confirmed swiftly and go on to pick up where Justice Scalia left off, as we enjoy the salty theatrics of Dems who have no power to stop what is happening.

I clerked for Justice Scalia more than 20 years ago, but the lessons I learned still resonate. His judicial philosophy is mine, too. A judge must apply the law as written. Judges are not policymakers.. - Amy Coney Barrett

Feinstein going on about how many Americans will lose health care coverage if Obamacare is replaced...

  1. My personal healthcare cost goes up every year and my coverage goes down every year.
  2. Obamacare is unconstitutional.
  3. What good is expensive coverage that doesn't cover anything?

OBAMACARE IS A PIECE OF SHIT SYSTEM. IT DESERVES TO BE REPLACED WITH SOMETHING THAT WORKS!!!

79
Only_Rosie_ODonnell 79 points ago +83 / -4

High risk people should be in their own pool. They are the ones that raise our costs

58
Hamberders 58 points ago +58 / -0

Yeah something like that is needed. It's the equivalent of totaling your car, going to GEICO and asking them for insurance because you just wrecked your car. If you're not an existing customer, they will tell you to go fuck yourself.

16
IthoughtIwalked 16 points ago +16 / -0

True, however they could still provide you with insurance, albeit at a higher rate. Insurance is a total numbers game involving risk, and higher risk people end up paying more. That increased rate does not cover all of their own risk though, because some of that risk is also distributed over everyone else with insurance. It's kind of socialist-lite in a way I suppose, but in a much more calculated way.

I do agree with protecting pre-existing conditions to an extent - it would be the same as buying a lemon car. There's nothing you could have done to prevent your circumstances, and when something goes wrong you shouldn't be penalized for it. However, people that don't change their oil and drive on bald tires do not fall in the same category when they inevitably wreck.

2
MinuteGrass 2 points ago +2 / -0

COBRA has (admittedly limited but notable) pre-existing condition coverage. It could easily be done as a standalone bill though.

1
anishr 1 point ago +3 / -2

But people don’t just buy lemon cars. It is your duty to thoroughly research the past ownership/manufacturing flaws for a car. Test drive the car, calculate costs of potential repairs, calculate budget, etc. If you still end up buying a lemon car, then too bad.

3
H_Guderian 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not even that. These are people buying ancient cars with bad brakes.

34
BeefChucker 34 points ago +35 / -1

It’s a tough issue. As Hamberders said, it’s because they already need healthcare, not insurance. But probably the biggest cost is the layers of bureaucracy that have been added. Hospitals, insurance and government all have massive amounts of costs that have nothing to do with providing heathcare.

F’n retarded.

$1.7B for a website that sucks, is so confusing & crashed when it was first launched.

Some smart tech companies pocketed a ton of ca$h in that deal

4
Techrev 4 points ago +4 / -0

Geez. Payoffs. I can't imagine building any site that cost that much. And I've built and helped build some big ones. I feel like you could build several whole datacenters filled with servers for a lot less than that.

It's been a while for me, and I know power consumption is crazy now, and I don't know those costs, but ish.

[Redpill] Health Insurance (coverage) does not equal Healthcare. Healthcare does not equal health insurance.

7
Techrev 7 points ago +7 / -0

This. I live in Quebec. If you have the sniffles, or a stubbed toe, you're good. Anything more, and it becomes more and more questionable. No one is refused coverage, but the doctors aren't the best. I mean, they work crazy hours, and are severely under paid. There is, absolutely, no motivation for them to actually be good. They're, pretty much, degraded almost to the point of being assembly line workers.

Sure, most of the time, people just need a doctor. Someone to put in a stitch, take an XRay, or give you a pill. But, sometimes you really need to shop around - get second or third opinions - or pay more money to see someone who just happens to be more skilled. Here, none of that really exists.

And finding a family doctor - someone who will actually open a file on you and keep track of you - you can be on a waiting list for years. Not easy. And if you do finally get one, you don't have options. If you don't like him or his methods, you can't shop around. Even if you do find someone else (very difficult), they will - nearly 100% of the time - back up everything the first doctor said. There are no second opinions.

They seem to all share medical records, and even know when you've been to the pharmacy, if you've gotten your prescriptions filled, everything.

1
MAGANANIMOUS_GEOTUS 1 point ago +1 / -0

To be fair, Iwork in an ER, any doc or practitioner has access to a nationl data base for prescription drugs that your history is visible to any doc who has access. They can see when, how much, or if you have any already outstanding orders(particularly for controlled substances).

not quite pill mills are still very much a thing unfortunately

6
fuzzydunlop 6 points ago +7 / -1

Yeah but Trump doesn't want insurance to discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions that raise the costs for everyone.

7
Only_Rosie_ODonnell 7 points ago +8 / -1

That's why they should be in their own pool. They shouldn't be immune to higher costs due to their conditions

3
570dbp 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don’t forget those on welfare and then the illegals. They do use medical services without paying by going to ER.

1

14
ronin551 14 points ago +14 / -0

For my bronze plan, I would need to spend over $10,000 before insurance would start to cover anything. I recently had to have my Achilles Tendon repaired. The surgery before insurance was almost $50k. My costs (premiums + deductible + 20% of total cost) is nearly $20k. However, I could have flown to http://SurgeryCenterOK.com and the surgical procedure would have been $5700 -- CASH ONLY. In other words, I would have been better off without insurance.

11
unicornpoop 11 points ago +11 / -0

No thanks on medical welfare. I lost my insurance years ago, and instead of replacing with shitty insurance for hundreds a month and a huge deductible, I just put the money into a savings account in case I need it. After a few years of not needing anything, I now have a down payment for a house. If you are healthy with no pre-existing conditions, you should not be forced to buy insurance.

And all they get is hate because they now like to bitch and label all males as horrible, and swing the pendulum the other way to make us pay rather than accept the sacrifice from their male ancestors and female counterparts who just lived in the times.

No further discussion is needed. Confirm her and move on.

You make a good point in at least it certainly seems that way in many cases. I'm 65 and this rhetoric is very different from what was offered up in the past. I can remember dems giving opinions and statements that were almost reminiscent of those given in Parliament. Well spoken and concise arguments, not rambling, off topic diatribes of anguish, redirection, and answers to hypothetical questions no one asked. Someone needs to school the old guys how to maintain the decorum they're so used to and at the same time, cut to the bone and leave them to bleed out. I don't see this as two political parties coming to an agreement for the benefit of the American people, that hasn't happened since Reagan IIRC. This is a fight to save America from those who would essentially destroy it and are using the more than willing dems to do it. The dems seek power in order to be nothing more than the arbiters of our demise.

3
Rufus_Shinra 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Democrats have become the anti-America party. They want no borders, all manufacturing in China and a population of permanent poor people dependant on the gov to keep them in power forever while they live off the suffering of others. There is no compromise when one party wants to plunge this country into neo feudalism, just the elites and serfs.

9
Pres-Trump 9 points ago +9 / -0

Understand this: President Trump is their enemy. The whole lot of them despise him because he broke up their fucking uniparty circlejerk. They will do everything in their power to make sure President Trump doesn't get anything real done unless it benefits them or their reelection chances. It's why the vasty majority of his appointments are pieces of shit liberals, he gets the worst advice imaginable from his supposed "allies". And when he chooses someone that will do a great job for the people of America they say that person can't be confirmed.

Found out about them prior to a rally covered a few weeks ago; and I support this comment. RSBN is good content.

Man, Wallace has really become unhinged after that debate. I don’t recall ever seeing him rant so passionately. It’s like he’s been exposed and there just isn’t a point in trying to hide it anymore.

This poor woman has to sit through this bullshit. This whole process was hijacked almost 40 years ago with the Robert Bork Sham hearing. The left has attempted to repeat that travesty ever since. The Republicans have played too nice in confirming Ginsberg, Sotomayor and Kagan.

11
deleted 11 points ago +11 / -0
6
QueensOwn 6 points ago +6 / -0

Would be just as productive. This has become political theatre and not a process to confirm a judge.

9
Bedminster 9 points ago +9 / -0

Republicans are cucks to the dems. It's totally true. They could go to a vote TODAY but they want to play the "we're about decorum and mud slinging".

7
QueensOwn 7 points ago +7 / -0

The problem is the “squishy” Republicans like Collins and Murkowski and others. They really believe that Democrats would give them the same deference. They are stupid losers. The Dems will slam their nominees through just like Obamacare.

5
Bedminster 5 points ago +5 / -0

If this was reversed the dems would not have hearings. They would have selected there nominee and then 24 hours later they would vote them in all while Republicans scream not fair just like Obamacare.

3
QueensOwn 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly right! All that talk about “bipartisanship” would never even be mentioned.

What's really funny about this hearing is that all of the people who got Covid at the WH (under suspicious circumstances) seem to be doing really well. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Thom Tillis (even though he always wore a mask). And of course POTUS. People need to really reflect on the fear mongering hoax that is being perpetuated on the American public.

Not a single politician has died, worldwide, that I can think of. For a virus that “doesn’t discriminate” it sure does a good job of selectively NOT harming the political elite.

Either that or it’s just not that deadly ... /s

I've been telling people at work (mostly 25-35 demographic) that we have absolutely nothing to fear. The only thing that would suck is missing out on work for the mandatory two week quarantine. That's the only scary thing. The virus itself is bitch shit.

4

29
FTR12 29 points ago +29 / -0

Lmfao every person I speak to hates the ACA or obamacare. I design union and corporate benefits plans when not fulfilling coffee orders and that includes enrolling members and employees into their plan. The most common complaint is that prices rose exponentially since the mandate and that there is no true choice in selecting a plan unless theyre big enough and self-fund. Nothing worse than meeting a small business owner that just hit 50 employees and is now on the hook for close to half a million dollars that they dont have. Its not uncommon for the business owner to break down in the meeting because they already sacrificed to get to that point and have other overhead and usually a family they need to take care of.

10
FireannDireach 10 points ago +10 / -0

Insurance prices are insanity. If you're employed and don't get insurance from work, a decent plan just for one person can be $400 to $500 a month, with medium deductibles. If you're a freeloader who doesn't work, you get it free.

The whole thing was a fraud to force people to pay for insurance, as a payoff to the insurance industry underwriting Obama's campaign.

The whole thing needs to go.

CA, of course, is now fining people $750 a year on your tax return, if you're not covered. So they have that going for them. And the exodus from the state continues.

2
FTR12 2 points ago +2 / -0

I know. I try to tell my clients employees this and then I tell them what I pay for me and my wife with a $3000 deductible since I am self employed which which makes them understand a bit more.

29
No_Malarkey_Joe 29 points ago +29 / -0

You've been subscribed to Cat Facts!

Fun facts about cats The oldest known pet cat existed 9,500 years ago This interesting fact about cats is guaranteed to wow at your next dinner party. Did you know that originally it was thought that Egyptians domesticated the cat? But in 2004, French archaeologists discovered a 9,500 year old cat grave in Cyprus. This makes this the oldest known pet cat and it predates Egyptian art about cats by over 4,000 years!

2
Simple_Doot 2 points ago +2 / -0

On the real though -

Humans domesticated dogs about 30,000 years ago. That says a lot about man's best friend. It would be another 20,000 years before we would domesticate plants.

Re-watching her performance during the Democrat primary debates, her tone was only slightly less hysterical. No wonder she didn't make it through, she suffers from a severe case of sound-like-an-insufferable-cuntitis.
