The Democrats just openly admitted what we’ve always known. They want a one party system. They don’t want to debate, they don’t want to have to defend their ideology. They don’t want to have to define their platforms every 4 years.

“Depoliticizing” means the Democrats have control with zero opposition.

They'll have opposition. Violent, bloody opposition. They will have power for all of a month before the second Nuremberg trials begin.

Due to the crooked nature of the police and the courts, there were need to be a greater collapse in society. There would also need to be some sort of political figure already existing to add legitimacy to our counter revolution. Otherwise we are just a bunch of disorganized rabble-rousing troublemakers to be smeared in the media and the corrupt FBI. Once society collapses, then there will start to be major changes in rhetoric and action from those on the right.

The good thing about leftists, is that they are unhinged, violent psychopath that will actually initiate much of the damage themselves, against themselves. It is due to the tribalistic nature of how they think. Let them fuck each other up first. In the meantime, just vote. At least the Denver guy is on first degree murder charges. Still not enough to atone for the shitty way Kyle is being treated.

For everyone, including myself, and I acknowledge I have made this error, we don't want to get ourselves worked up in a frenzy. And yes, I include myself as I have made this error as well. Witnessing what we are seeing in slow motion does not bode well for the mind.

This is why countries run by left leaning parties require political commisars in every unit of their military. It's like HR or Diversity officer to make sure they keep everyone loyal to the party. You don't need that in the U.S. military because our way of life is natural and the Constitution is just a manifestation of God given rights

Even in a one party system, there is always a struggle for supremacy. They don't even believe the same thing they did last week. Defeating external rivals simply shifts the fight to a new venue and new targets

8
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 8 points ago +8 / -0

There will always be dissent, and leftists cannot tolerate dissent, so dissenters have to be purged. This is part of the workings of every leftist government throughout history.

You can even see this in action on social media among Democrats when one of them does some critical thinking or dares to question the narrative. Even the slightest deviation is met with an immediate, heavy handed response from every Democrat on the thread. Almost invariably the offender will also immediately bend the knee and apologize, seeking to get back into the good graces of the hive.

Literally just got done responding on an old thread, and saw this stickied. I want to post here also. Regarding the Associated Press:

The AP essentially disavowed objectivity under this president. The progression is clear and demonstrable. I believe an actual editorial decision was made within their organization to do so, equating this president to a threat worthy of suspending journalistic integrity. Many anti-Trump journalist types (redundant) often describe seeing "nothing like Trump in my XX years covering XXXX," and believe he must be countered more than covered. That sentiment gave rise to the now ubiquitous "without evidence/unsubstantiated/unproven" caveats found in news reporting, which absolutely violate the notion of reporting fact, without analysis. Concessions like this are becoming more common. One of the very first in the trend was actually, and ironically, the term "fake news," which I believe the AP codified and enshrined for us forever. Most people totally don't recall, but that term originated on the LEFT in 2016, as a charge directed at "Russian disinformation," forums such as this, "extremist" websites like "Breitbart," and conservative media figures in general. It was meant as a jarring, blunt-sounding, intentionally simplistic invective so as to differentiate the "real news." Around the time of the last election, the AP began actually writing "fake news" in copy, which instantly elevated the phrase as distinct, repeatable, and mainstream. However very quickly, Trump and conservatives co-opted the term, correctly recognizing it captured the anti-media zeitgeist far better than it represented the manufactured claims of conservative misinformation. If you notice, the press has completely abandoned that phrase, now viewing it as pejorative. Alas, the AP created and propagated the expression, giving into its own emotion and immaturity. So in conclusion, intentionally allowing journalistic standards to decline, whether it be through laziness, or temptation, only hurt the profession in the end. The AP denigrates itself through what it writes at the moment. And through its unhidden zeal to destroy a president and practice social engineering, disseminated worldwide in biased cut-and-paste copy, the AP only solidifies public perception of uniformly slanted media.

Great comment, pede. This "activist journalism" has been going on for decades and they have finally reached a point where they no longer even make an effort pretend at objectivity. One of the earliest and most blatant examples of this for me was around 2011 when 0bama was still in his first term. I used to follow the NFL back then and I would go on the CNN site every week to read Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback column. I had long noted that he would frequently inject his Democrat political views into his column, and eventually people began to call him out on it, understandably wanting to read about football, not politics. He finally decided to address the issue in his column, and he did so by saying that his role as a journalist requires that he promote his political views, that he would continue to do so, and that if you didn't like it, stop reading his column. Indeed, that was the last column of his that I read.

4
Kompromat 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's so pathetic that the prevailing contemporary role of a news-person has evolved to include "activism." That the profession became warped enough to tolerate something so contradictory! Like you said, even a sports writer feels justified indulging himself. In fact it seems sports became specifically targeted by the left, as if they collectively thought: "How dare they continue enjoying this free and clear? We must make inroads!" And now we see this clumsy interjection of politics into sports. It's truly delusional the industry applauds this. It's an echo chamber.

5
JimmyJam 5 points ago +5 / -0

The "swamp," ie the political class, includes the media tasked with covering it. An attack on "the swamp" undercuts the personal interests of those in the media who cover DC. These people come and go between media orgs and political administrations. Trump's existence is an attack on the establishment. DC is a machine in which the wolves and the lambs have joined forces to create a sustainable industry. When you get an outsider who threatens that ecosystem, all members of that ecosystem work in concert to expel the alien threat. Order will restore once the threat is gone.

This is what is happening with the media right now

I got a progressive friend to see the folly in the media carrying water for any political party whatsoever. She used the line "scandal free presidency" to describe the Obama era, and I pointed out that it was purely manufactured narrative due to the media being on his team.

My position is that of free speech, free press, free expression, and that the scrutiny on the current administration is actually healthy and necessary to hold our policy leaders accountable. She concurred that point (because Orange Man Bad), to which I asked why that wasn't the case during the Obama admin.

9
OutrageSells 9 points ago +9 / -0

I don't believe there exists such a thing as "without bias." The best we can hope for is an open competition on the various biases presented among the emergent narratives around media players. When artificial constraints and editorialization constricts that open flow (looking at you Silicon Valley!), then we lose equal footing in the competitive playing field.

Heckler's Veto and Algorithmic Manipulation are the two biggest threats to open discourse, and we should all be terrified.

The media was never without bias. They were just open about it, and didn't try to claim otherwise until the 60s.

There's a reason a lot of smaller newspapers had "Republican" or "Democrat" in their name, before the Gannett borging.

3
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's far beyond biased. These are Democrat political activists who barely even pretend otherwise.

2
Breakfaststout 2 points ago +2 / -0

Control what people see...then manipulate them with articles pushing only your narrative. I used to only think that worked on the weak, but apparently its highly effective and the vast majority fall for it repeatedly.

I would have thought by now alot more people would have figured out their narratives were all contrived after being proven false repeatedly on some of their huger negative stories, but nope.

One of the biggest red pills for me related to the misleadia was watching them fawn over 0bama and write over the top puff pieces about him. This was an especially stark contrast after watching them criticize and shit all over Bush for the previous eight years. I distinctly remember reading Yahoo News and seeing an article with the headline:

Is This The Cutest Photo of President Obama Ever?

I remember thinking, "What in the ever loving fuck is this?". It was a real eye opener for me about just how far gone the media was even back then, and it's exponentially worse now.

That's why I avoid terms like "liberal", "progressive", "conservative", "green", etc. It's the terms that leftists prefer.

We are the real "liberals", in the classical sense of the word - champions of individual freedom, constitutionally limited government, free markets, equality of negative Rights under law, etc.

We are the real "progressives": free market capitalism is the engine of human progress, and socialism is a cancer that destroys it.

We are the real "greens": economic growth is what improves the environment, while socialist stagnation destroys it. Pollution is a Property Rights issue. All the worst polluters in history have been statists.

These fucktards cant pack it even if they desire. FDR tried and failed. He did end up with 8 out of 9 libtard judges, but thats because he served for so damn long. He tried to pack by forcing elderly judges out by age 70 with an "heir apparent" since day one over 3 terms. Uncle Creepy doesnt have a shot even if he gets one.

9

5
Mr_Noh 5 points ago +5 / -0

On the other hand, while there was Congressional Dem pushback against it, the mere threat of packing the court was scary enough to the USSC that in subsequent rulings on New Deal policies they bent over backwards to find reasons to not rule them the unconstitutional crap they were.

It was obvious when they changed capitalization of white people and black people. They said that white supremacists would capitalize white and purposely not capitalize black, and that showed that one group had more importance over the other.

So what did they do? They decided to only capitalize black and not capitalize white and tried to justify it. So they complain about doing it one way and say its racist, and then turn around and do it the other way and try to justify it. Everything is infiltrated.

1
turdinthepunch 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think we are in a sweet spot where they are still able to push their message with their new definitions while still relying on the more potent, colloquial definitions.

An example of this was AOC calling US immigration detention centers "concentration camps". She got called out by the jewish community, and when pressed she said, oh well I just meant that they are technically concentrations of people.

When the words lose their veracity and the watered down definitions become prominent, their message will be also. Take "white supremacy" as an example. What they mean is 'a society dominated by western culture' (which is actually not a bad thing), but they are relying on the concept that nazis thought the white race was genetically superior and wanted to cleanse society of undesirables.

All they are doing is watering down their message in the long run. As long as we have the freedom of speech and are able to engage their bullshit head on, that is.

1
Grond999 1 point ago +1 / -0

All they are doing is watering down their message in the long run. As long as we have the freedom of speech and are able to engage their bullshit head on, that is

100%. I come across as pessimistic at times here on this wonderful forum, but I am fighting battles out there. The RepubliCANT party is an 'out of touch' swampy disgrace IMHO. It desperately needs true honest patriots. I live in Australia. My friends are pro-Trump.....and this seemingly includes a gay friend who I caught up with last week. OK, he is not quite pro-Trump anything like myself, but he can't stand the identity politics put out by the left.

If America falls, the rest of the western world goes down with it. America is the only nation on Earth that protects freedom of speech.

15

7
Starfish 7 points ago +8 / -1

There is a way to depoliticize the court which I would support. Every Justice gets a 20 year term. That way every president gets to nominate 1 justice every 2 years. Justices do not have to wait until they are almost dead to retire. Senate confirmation is changed so that there is less possibility for BS hearings. A simple constitutional amendment everyone could get behind.

Also, no need for nominating the youngest possible people as there is now.

2
BadManOrange 2 points ago +2 / -0

Makes sense, although I think 18 year terms make the math work out better. You'd have to do something with the current set of judges.

I guess you could do the current judge list by seniority and roll it back from 2 years left for Thomas to 18 with ACB. The last issue would be whether someone dies in office, but nothing you can do about that.

Orwellian. For generations, Pro-Lifers have refrained from pushing a court packing agenda out of knowledge of what that would do to our Constitution and our country, but the moment the Democrats and pro-aborts don't get their way, they immediately move to the most radicalized, self defeating, most polarizing "solution". This is why the left is so destabilizing and can never be allowed to get power, because they will never abide by the rules or play fair. They will always move to the most extreme and polarizing position.

Also, do they think packing the court will really keep partial birth abortion and post birth abortion "safe" for the Moloch Worshippers? Do they really think that if they go down this road that it won't erode Constitutional Rights...oh wait, of course they do. They're just dumb enough to think that when the whole thing goes belly up, the people who end up on top will respect their rights and care about "making the world a better place". Lefties are so gullible. They really are stupid enough to believe that the people on top care about little people rather than themselves. They can't see the same elites today that rule their party, will rule in any post Constitutional, post-SCOTUS USA as well. Really, these morons think the same people who sell out America to China, Iran, keep their kids far away from the public schools you send your kids to, make sure their kids are legacy enrollments to Ivy League schools, and work out "book" deals to enrich themselves and throw backroom, kick back deals to their friends are really going to be interested in equity and resource distribution. They know nothing of history. They have no idea that the first thing commie leaders always reject, once they are in power, is any concern for human beings. In fact, they pride themselves the wide scale deaths that happen after they take over.

I can't wait for Trump to get reelected and Breyer to die and Thomas to retire so we get a 7-2 majority for the next thirty fucking years.

Listening to these heathens ramble on, pretending to act in good faith is infuriating. If they are continued to allow to change definitions to whatever suits their current goals - we will see our rights slip away and we will see the left install themselves as the permanent power structure in this country.

That cannot be allowed to happen. Period.

AP used to have integrity, but that is long gone. And even worse is how many other media companies source the AP as the basis for their stories. When they're that biased, you get what we have today - A radical media propaganda network with TDS.

AP never had integrity. However, when the elitists began moving towards globalization, the AP followed suit.

The difference is that in the 1950s and 1960s, most American journalists and editors were well educated and were better at obfuscating their agenda than they are today.

Ok then. Have Trump put in 8 more 30 year old justices.

RBG politicized the shit out of the court. She talked shit about Trump before he won.

TALK ABOUT PROJECTING

I would really love to see Republicans threaten to pack the courts if they retain senate control. Not actually do it. Just threaten to do it to make all these morons defend their outrage over something they've openly said they want to do

I'd surely love to see them have a committee do a study on the optimum number of Supreme Court justices. Let's get some analysis to back up our position, instead of all this partisan emotional ranting!!!

Left-fags and their winning war on language.

Conservatives need to hit back with short, catchy truths or we will lose on this front.

GASLIGHTING

I wish the republicans had shown an ounce of this fight with Sotomayor and Kagan.

But they never did. They're not on an opposing side. The democrats and the media and the republicans are all part of the same club. The same power structure that seeks to overturn the constitution and eliminate liberty.

Took Trump to expose all of it. All the brainwashing. All the corruption. Vote like your lives and your children's lives depend on it, because they do.

Depoliticizing = Justice who will conserve the Constitution

Politicizing = Justice who will progress away from the Constitution

SCOTUS is supposed to be a conservative institution. If you want progressives, they are supposed to be in congress, not the courts.

its only fair when the far left gets exactly what they want

anything else is some kind of crime

OK... then Trump should do it. Let them figure THAT headline out. "Court Packing is okay... until Trump does it"

2
magnetar 2 points ago +2 / -0

This HAS to be the red line. This has the potential of subverting the highest court in America. This has so many far reaching effects, how the fuck are democrats this shortsighted!?
