In California, a family of four who cannot afford their food will get $600 a month in free food from the state. That's more than enough to feed at least four people and even buy some decent steaks and name brand items. In other states I'm sure it's less but then in those states it doesn't cost $2,000 a month for a one-bedroom apartment

I have a relative that works for a rather well off school district. You wouldn't believe the high percentage of people getting a free lunch, and I don't need to tell you the demographic. A lot of them go up and get a completely free lunch and then walk over to the snack area and whip out a $5 bill and buy ice cream for them and their friends. Then their mom comes and picks them up in a Mercedes or dad in a $70,000 Ford F150 Raptor. No shit.

But a Democrat governor shut down California schools due to COVID. So the actual poor kids don’t get those meals they need. Not Trump’s fault. Democrats’ fault.

In Virginia, after Governor Blackface shut down the schools, school buses still ran during the day, delivering free breakfasts and lunches to the kids at home.

TRUTH.

My 5 person family's food budget is $500/mo and we eat like kings. You just have to know what you're doing and (SURPRISE) cook your own food instead of wasting money on junk.
