I am betting this is a fake news story. The photo was submitted to the paper, and small town papers (the ones I know) are notorious for making up quotes and even whole stories just to have something to print.
My guess is, this really is her Dad's soybean field, the photo of which she photo-shopped, then gave it to the paper with the "story" (literal) about his farm.
