I don't agree with this. Insurance can't exist with a requirement to cover pre-existing conditions.

It just doesn't fucking work that way.

Example: Dont by car insurance. Go wreck your car. Call Geico and get insurance. Ask them to pay for your pre-existing wrecked car. Get told to go to hell.

Seems like a problem with no good solution. Either insurance companies eat the cost of preexisting conditions, or those with preexisting conditions get screwed. Please correct if wrong.

Maybe open up the free market to create competition but require INS company to carry a percentage of customers that have preexisting conditions. The amount could be a percentage of over all customers so that it stays balanced. You basically share the cost of these people but keep it to a minimum that is manageable.
