Republicans can't easily do anything with no majority in the House. Democrats certainly aren't going to go for that one, or any other bill they draft up.

A prime example of this is Rubio's bill to skip the time change for one year. Most people piss and moan about the Fall time change (except me), and it's a very popular decision to get rid of it, even permanently, to stay on DST. But that bill died before it was even written because he's Republican, and even a RINO.

Political protection from employment would be a slippery slope anyway. Just imagine a third of a company's staff go full blown commie with no legal way to get rid of them when they start terrorizing the other employees with their propaganda.

It's one of those things that looks great on paper until you apply it to Democrats.

Republicans had a majority in the House and Senate after the 2016 election.

Yes, but Paul Ryan shut down any chance of decent legislation passing. He tanked us as hard as Sessions did.

We definitely need to fight back, but making political beliefs a protected class is not the solution. That provides a legal reason to allow the spread of communism.

At the very least we should pass a law where you can’t be fired for showing support for a candidate during an election.
