If they give you all the tax money back that you paid for those schools and for public schools, you could use that money to pay the fee for the same charter school. Or just vouchers like people have been talking about forever. I wouldn't look at it so much as tearing children away from schools they like as installing new management.
If they gave me that money, my kids would immediately go to private school. Charter school is great, but private school is even better. But my point is that all the kids from the public schools would need to go somewhere, and they'd inevitably end up shitting up my kid's great charter school.
