Any of the following DISQUALIFIES you from voting:

  • you don't pay any income tax (you get a net refund).
  • convicted of felony/misdemeanor
  • under the age of 25

Lol not misdemeanors man. You can get a misdemeanor for driving too fast, or smoking weed, or beating up commies. Maybe if you get like 5 misdemeanors or something. 1 feony is still automatic disqualification though.

If you own property under 25, you should be allowed to vote assuming you paid attention to the sheet of all the fucking taxes you pay on a home and are rightfully pissed off.

I think the original “you have to be a landowner to vote” is the best course. Who the fuck cares what you have to say if you don’t own anything here. That’s like letting foreigners vote in our election

Nah, buying the government is something all the rich people already do.

Voting requirements need to be basic and fair. Not receiving a welfare check is a decent start. If you receive more money from the gov than you give you dont need to vote.

Voting should be moved to tax day = and your ballot should be sent in with your tax forms...

no Taxes, no voting!

Agreed on the first and third, but some laws are bullshit. Alot of traffic laws are technically misdemeanors, such as reckless driving, which is 15 miles over the speed limit.

NOBODY in my town obeys the speed limit and if you aren't "Reckless driving" then you aren't actually moving your car.

Realistically, we just need the first one. If you pay a net positive into the system, you get a vote because that's your hard work being distributed to other people and being used to ensure the continuation and prosperity of the country. I would even be open to allowing those with non-voting rights to engage in some non-binding referendums so that at least we can have some sort of idea of what those without a vote want.

But if only net tax payers voted, eventually there would be no income tax, because they would vote for representatives who would abolish it. Then nobody would be able to vote!!

There should not be an income tax. Your labor is yours. You trade it for currency. There is no gain.
