I can honestly say I've never been disillusioned by Trump's Presidency.
Sometimes I wish he were more conservative, but what I always have known is that a traditional Repub was not going to be HRC.
If one could follow the "Marquess of Queensberry Rules" and beat them, Mitt would have been President and Trump would have been just another Billionaire.
But Trump understood one thing. Fight guerilla warfare w/ guerilla warfare. Mitt was a classically trained technically proficient Olympic Boxer. Trump is a UFC fighter. No other Repub would have survived all they lobbed at Trump. Trump did something no other Repub in the field could do, WIN!
I was on a pretty left site at the time pretty actively and they convinced me the left was the way to go. After the riots started happening though I became pretty angry with the responses I was seeing so I left that website and found some more right wing people on Twitter who I actually agreed with, and happened to stumble upon here too. I'm very ashamed of the few months I lost Trump, but I'm at the point where I'd walk through broken glass to vote for him.

Do some research on Central and Peripheral Routes of Persuasion and it’ll blow your mind how often the left uses Peripheral. The left uses the more emotional Peripheral Route all the time because it distracts from the illogic of what they’re saying. TV Commercials also heavily use peripheral route.

The half-joking aside, we could deep dive that question if you really wanted to, but most people don’t find it very fun. Because there are many psychological pathways to the same behavior, and most of those pathways are not as devious as we often glibly say, it humanizes the majority of the people who end up doing contemptible things. It’s deeply humbling to realize that outside certain circumstances outside my control, there’s a good chance many of us could have been as deluded or devious as the Left we mock.

Welcome back. I can’t say I was disillusioned however I was a bit miffed that so few have gone to jail. Then I realized Trump is building the first term so he can destroy during the second term. As long as corruption ends up getting BTFO in the second term I’m happy.
