Favorite moment is when that one kid did the virtue signal speech during the tournament and Johnny just looks at his student and tells him, “ kick that pansy bitch in the face.”
I watched it on YouTube back when I used them for cable and thought it was great. The guy who plays Johnny had an absolutely masterful performance in that series. That guy got typecast as the prep/jock antagonist in shit back in the ‘80’s but had he not been typecast he’d probably be one of the biggest actors today. He’s way better than douchebags like Clooney.
Ironically (maybe not ironic, but at least interesting), I think there's a solid chance his return (and possibly even the entire concept for Cobra Kai) was the result of How I Met Your Mother, and Barnie/Neil Patrick Harris' character was convinced that Johnny Lawrence/William Zapka's character was the good guy in the Karate Kid, and they brought Zapka on the show (I think during the last season as a wedding gift for Barney, he then makes him his best man, iirc... been a while)
Considering what he did, to not only Mr. Miyagi but also to John Rambo, not a nice lad.
John J. Rambo survives the jungles of Vietnam, finds a POW, rescues him, goes back through the jungle and climbs the hill of mud, and this guy above refuses to rescue him and flies away.
.
The guy had a shoe on his food container?
President Trump's hair isn't changing. Still real and spectacular.
Seriously, for this Kove chap, it must be weird being someone who is "hated" by so many as all they see is a mean person from movies.
Do believe they offered the Karate Kid sensei role to Chuck Norris. Glad he did not accept.
Agreed. I was surprised by how based of a show Cobra Kai is. Johnny doesn't give a shit about political correctness, and spends the first couple of seasons being an alpha male father figure to Miguel, teaching him how to be tough and self-reliant. I laughed hard at the scene where Johnny used the word pussy as an insult, Miguel told him that his school's guidance counselor told him that they shouldn't use gendered insults, and Johnny brushed it off like it was the stupidest thing he'd ever heard.
I think it's funny that Johnny is a man who seems to be eternally stuck in the 1980s. There's a scene where it's revealed that he doesn't even know what Facebook is.
Yeah he dont even have a computer and hes only like 40. But it just makes it all the more funny. The show is easily in my top 10 list (I watch A LOT of TV shows). This show is incredible, everyone needs to watch it. Also hits your emotional spot a couple of times, while still being hilarious and exciting. They even managed to make Karate Cool Again.

Hits your emotional spots while still being hilarious (Johnny stuck in the 80s, dont know how to use computer), really based (teaches nerds to get hard and get confidence) and the acting is great. Also the show makes it a point to fuck the SJWs, since Johnny dont give a fuck about political correctness, he goes around calling people who do for pussies etc.
QUIET! Cobra Kai never dies!
Cobra Kai is based. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it. Download it so you can avoid Netflix.

People love good bad guys.
Not him nor the shoe repair store clerk are wearing face condoms. Nice.
Yeah but this is from 2017
Just goes to show what 3 years of political deep state BS can do to us and around the globe.
That was the first thing I noticed. But: Mar 21, 2017
This was a week or two before the statewide mask mandates hit everywhere.
Ah, I see. Thanks

The fact that they had Johnny rolling the same ride as the movie was classic.

It's statistically impossible that EVERY celebrity is a stupid communist. James Woods proves this.
This is obviously a dog whistle. Allow me to translate.
Mr. President, Sweep The Leg!
Too bad Pat Morita is voting for Joe Biden.
