Every time an election approaches both sides try to claim the market is reacting to them when it suits them.

The reality is this, the markets do NOT like uncertainty. So, when fake news does their little fake news thing and pushes polls that show a landslide victory for Biden, yes the market loves it. But not because it loves Biden, but because a landslide victory (no matter who the victor) means a likely peaceful transition of power.

So is it true that polls can have an impact on the market? Sure, does it mean the market loves Joe Biden? The markets couldn't give a flying fuck about Joe Biden.
