Maybe I should run for Texas governor in 2022(Not seriously considering it, just dreaming at the moment)
My platform would be:
-
Prosecute any previous or current Texas governor, county judge, mayor or law enforcement officer who violated or attempted to violate a citizen's constitutional rights with lockdowns, mask mandates, covid checkpoints, business closures, etc. This would not be for vindictive purposes, but instead to ensure future government officials for years to come will think twice before creating or enforcing these authoritarian unconstitutional edicts.
-
Prosecute any federal agent or official attempting to enforce unconstitutional federal laws in Texas, for example: Any and all firearms restrictions.
-
End all firearms restrictions in Texas as they are unconstitutional
-
Pardon any individual being persecuted for self defense who is being unjustly prosecuted or for simply owning a weapon that the BATF decided is illegal with it's arbitrary rules.
-
End all property taxes and find some other way to fund the local Texas city and county governments as property taxes mean that you don't own your property, you're just renting it from the government. If you put time and money in to improve your land, suddenly your yearly rent payment goes up. Also, if you own land in a different county, you don't even get to vote on whether or not your yearly rent(property tax) gets raised.
-
End judicial supremacy. Any and all unconstitutional opinions from any court up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court are null and void. No more using past unconstitutional case law as justification to further restrict our rights.
-
Repeal any and all laws giving the governor, county judges or mayors any perceived authority(it certainly isn't real authority if it violates the constitution) to force people to lock down, wear masks, close business, etc.
-
Transfer school management and ownership to the local citizens, let the people be in charge of educating their own children and quit forcing state mandated ideologies into the children's minds. People can do what they want, have small groups or large groups or whatever group size people desire fit their learning environment. They can pool their money, build their own community owned schools and hire their own teachers as they see fit, or homeschool on an individual basis or for tutors or whatever. Government can stay out of it.
-
If the federal government moves to an all digital currency, have Texas start it's own currency so that transactions can still remain private.
-
End any and all generalized tracking of citizens. Including contact tracing and cell phone tracking of general citizens and prosecute any individual or entity that tracks or traces Texas citizens. Any tracking must be done with consent of the one being tracked.
-
In the event of a real pandemic, instead of becoming defacto dictator, just inform people of what is going on and work with local county and city governments to ensure personnel and resources are where they need to be to provide care. But do NOT restrict any individual's freedom to go were they want or run their business as they please. And again, prosecute any officials who violate or attempt to violate the rights of the citizens. This means no lockdowns, no quarantines, no mask mandates and no travel restrictions anywhere in Texas. Texans can figure out for themselves how seriously they want to take a "pandemic" since we all know the media and other entities who hate freedom like to hype things up beyond all reasonable proportions.
-
End all abortion immediately and prosecute any and all personnel involved in abortions for murder as abortion is just a modern day holocaust.
-
End any and all requirements to be vaccinated, tested for covid(or any future "pandemics viruses") or any tracking as condition to participate in society, gain employment or to live on a college campus.
I don't seriously think I could become Texas governor since I have no idea how to go about it or how to fund raise for it or even get support from any political agency, nor would I expect much agreement with my platform from the normal Texas citizens. Also not sure that the Texas governor would have the power to do all of that alone(maybe other pedes could run as Texas congressmen to help out). But hey, I can dream can't I? But man, I wish the government would just leave us alone and do what they are supposed to do, which is protect our God given constitutional rights and not try to "protect" us by destroying our freedoms and lives.
While I'm dreaming, might as well become president after Trump finishes in 2024. I mean, might as well pay him back for being the best president in my lifetime by becoming the best president in his lifetime.
you got my vote fren
Thanks! I also forgot to add, unrestricted open carry at all my rallies!
Start the prosecutions with Lina Hidalgo and Sylvester Turner.
I can think of a few local tyrants as well.
I've lived in Texas my whole life and never heard of Bulverde before. Guess I don't get around too much.
Depends. Can I be governor of two states at the same time?
At this rate, maybe I should run for governor in all 50 states at once.
shut up and take my vote.
Shutting up and taking vote!
I think we need less professional politicians. We would have better laws of all of a sudden all of the life long politicians were suddenly swapped out with random people from a Trump rally.
Dude! I'd vote for you!!!!!!!
I'd really have no idea where to start nor do I have the financial backing also terrible with public speaking lol. Looks like there are some other candidates running in 2022 as well.
Here is what Wikipedia has.

Oh thanks for the info! I will definitely be doing some research, and I will probably vote in the primaries, which I never have before. I freaking hate politics, but things are so crazy, I force myself to pay attention, now.
I'm definitely not voting for Abbott in the 2022 primaries. If he wins the primaries, I don't know who I'd vote for in the general, either hold my nose and hate myself for voting Abbott, or vote 3rd party.
I will not vote for a Democrat, so I'm with you. Either Abbott or Independent. I went independent in 2006 because I couldn't stand Rick Perry.
